Role Overview:

The Tax Revenue Customer Service Representative (Tax Analyst) works to ensure the highest level of customer focus, with a strong commitment to the taxpayers of Indiana through continuous, innovative methods to increase accuracy, efficiency, and productivity in all areas of departmental operations tax administration. Experience is preferred but not required.

A comprehensive 6-week tax training program will be provided to all new employees, along with ongoing training and support.

Salary:

This position starts at an annual salary of $42,900 and may be commensurate with education and job experience.

A Day in the Life:

Responsibilities include:

-Enjoys learning about a variety of the Department of Revenue tax procedures, including tax filing and payment requirements.
-Provide best-in-class customer service taxpaying customers by phone in a fast-paced call center environment.
-Apply knowledge acquired in training and utilizes resources to analyze and problem-solve.
-Respond to a variety of tax inquiries.
-Access data utilizing basic computer skills.
-Communicate professionally using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
-Comply with all ethical and confidentiality requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
