Summary:
We are looking for an ambitious and strongly analytical team member to assist our Indirect Operations team. This position will work with Sr. Fleet Manager, Fleet Administrator, Procurement leadership, Supply Chain leadership, Risk leadership, Safety leadership, Field Service Leadership, and Power Plant Leadership.
The Fleet Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of NRG’s Fleet program across all business units. Duties include managing a team of Fleet Administrators that assign, register and transport vehicles, monitor vehicle maintenance, dispose of aging vehicles, and resolve issues for field service and power plant personnel throughout the US. The Fleet Manager owns the account management relationship with our Fleet Management partners as well as relationships with key up fit companies and vehicle manufacturers. The Fleet Manager manages the selection and ordering of vehicles and up fit based on total cost of ownership models.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
-Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a team of Fleet Administrators
-Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
-Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
-Ensures compliance with sourcing policies and procedures, ethical practices, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations
-Manages the coordination and administration of driver training and safety programs.
-Analyzes and selects Fleet vehicles
-Project manages new initiatives and changes in the department
-Partners with Category Managers to complete RFPs and negotiate contracts.
-Administers all Fleet related contracts
-Coordinates vehicle accident program with Corporate Safety leaders.
-Effectively uses data to drive continuous improvements internally and externally.
-Handles all data analytics for fleet reporting.
-Monitors vehicle exceptions (fuel, maintenance, registration).
-Leads process development and process improvement initiatives.
-Responsible for reporting Fleet performance companywide.
Required Skills:
· Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, employees, management and field service employees.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Required Experience:
· Bachelor's degree and 4 to 6 years of relevant fleet management experience.
· Previous Fleet Management Experience
-Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks on a short and long term basis.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
