The Staff Accountant supports a variety of mid-level accounting duties, which include both day-to-day activities and projects.

Responsibilities
-Post monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries for PP&E
-Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations for PP&E and related balance sheet accounts
-Assist with developing CAPEX Budgets
-Create, maintain, and close capital projects
-Generate spend reports for open projects
-Prepare ADHOC fixed asset reports for management and operations
-Prepare audit schedules and complete requests from external auditiors during quarterly and year-end audits
-Properly execute controls to ensure compliance with JSOX
-Provide support as needed to other members of the corporate accounting team
Education
Bachelor’s degree, Accounting degree preferred
Requirements/Qualifications
-Knowledge of GAAP financial reporting
-Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
-Strong organizational and analytical skills
-Self-starter and strong work ethic
-Team-player and flexible
-Avalible to work extended hours and potentially weekends as needed to meet month-end or audit deadlines
Preferred:
-Experience in the construction materials industry
-Experience with SAP
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
