St. Gerard Majella School is seeking a caring and dedicated Aftercare Program Employee to support its mission by providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered environment for students after regular school hours. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, committed to fostering their well-being, and aligned with the values and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Job Responsibilities
-Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students enrolled in the Aftercare Program.
-Create a welcoming and structured environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and Christian values.
-Facilitate a variety of age-appropriate activities, including games, crafts, and quiet time.
-Assist students with homework and encourage positive study habits.
-Maintain consistent communication with school staff and parents regarding student behavior and needs.
-Uphold the mission and values of St. Gerard Majella School and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
-Support a positive and collaborative team atmosphere among fellow staff members.
Job Requirements
-Must be at least 16 years of age.
-Ability to supervise and engage children in a variety of structured and unstructured activities.
-Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children.
-Commitment to upholding Catholic values and modeling Christian behavior.
-Must pass a background check and complete all Archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements.
