Position Overview:
The Entry Level NDE Inspector is responsible for performing inspections on products and components to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. This role involves preparing surfaces for testing, interpreting complex technical documents, conducting various non-destructive tests, and maintaining accurate inspection records. The inspector adheres to established safety protocols while working collaboratively with leadership and other team members to address any potential issues. A strong attention to detail and effective communication skills are essential for successfully identifying defects and ensuring compliance throughout the inspection process. This is a second shift position (4:00 PM to 2:30 AM). The job will start with training on first shift and then transition to a second shift work schedule.

Your Day to Day as an Entry Level NDE Inspector

-Performs all work safely, working within established procedures and uses a questioning attitude to prevent and stop unsafe work conditions. Will set up and perform any/all types of Non-Destructive inspections on any/all products and component parts.
-Prepare components as required for MT/PT inspection per procedure, which includes preparing surfaces as required by buffing to remove paints, scale, weld spatter, and other surface irregularities; uses solvent to remove grease, oil, tape, tape residue, dirt, etc.
-Interprets manufacturing prints, plans, sketches and printed material descriptions of any complexity.
-Makes sketches, fills out inspection non-conforming forms.
-Perform inspection lay-outs as required.
-Verifies the completeness of shop and inspection operations and nondestructive tests when required.
-Receives instruction from leader, salaried personnel or employee being assisted.
-Complies with all safety and plant rules, regulations and practices.
-Maintains necessary quality records.
-Moves material, equipment and products to and from work area by hand or uses material handling equipment, including floor operated cranes.
-Works from prints, procedures, code specification booklets, sketches, process sheets, layout templates, written and verbal instructions, etc.
-Keeps own work area, machinery and equipment clean and orderly. Detects and reports faulty operations and defective material.
-Reports print errors and/or errors in written and verbal instructions.
Required Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or GED required.
-Minimum of one (1) year of related job experience, preferably in a close tolerance manufacturing or fabrication environment.
-Must pass Quality Control tests, including written and practical examination, as well as eye examinations within required timeframes.
-Ability to obtain and maintain qualification for Level II Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in Magnetic Particle (MT) and Penetrant (PT) methods required.
-Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

Pay: $74534.89 - $74534.89
The base salary range for this position in Indiana (US-IN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $74534.89 and $74534.89 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
