Learning Support Worker Vacancy - Cranleigh

The Role:

As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting students with SEN to access their education, develop essential skills, and build confidence. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs.

Assisting with the implementation of individualised learning plans.

Adapting learning materials and activities to meet diverse needs.
*

Fostering a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
*

Supporting students with their social, emotional, and communication development.
*

Collaborating effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.

Monitoring and recording student progress.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess:

A minimum of six months' experience in a formal setting supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs.

A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to their development.
*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
*

Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
*

The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
*

A proactive and adaptable attitude.
*

Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable but not essential for experienced candidates.
