POSITION TITLE: Custodian
DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Valley Health Services - No Weekends or Holidays
REPORTS TO: Practice Manager
SCHEDULE: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Variable hours/some evenings
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas as needed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides daily maintenance and custodian duties at VCS sites (inside and outside)
2. Picking up and taking all trash, cleaning restrooms, etc.
3. Provide excellent service through well-maintained facilities
4. Identifies and reports problems in a timely manner and completes additional tasks as assigned by manager
5. Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
6. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Highly motivated self-starters
2. Ability to work as part of a team
3. Knowledge of cleaning equipment and ability to fix small problems; some landscaping, changing light fixtures, painting, and light maintenance
4. Reliable transportation, valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability if applicable
5. Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
6. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal back ground check (Ohio Bureau of
7. Criminal Identification & Investigation) if applicable.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS : High School Diploma or GED preferred
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Previous cleaning experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds as necessary
2. General knowledge of cleaning products and cleaning tools
3. Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
4. Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals
5. Ability to climb stairs while carrying equipment
Compensation details: 20-20 Hourly Wage
