SUMMARY
The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The deli clerk must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining deli products. The clerk is also responsible for providing remarkable customer service at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
AEUR¢ Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding prepared food operations, safety, and sanitation
AEUR¢ Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer questions about prepared foods products (i.e.: ready-made meals, packaged salads and subs)
AEUR¢ Maintain a AEURœclean as you goAEUR policy to ensure sanitary conditions at all times
AEUR¢ Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product (i.e.: following recipes and cooking instructions)
AEUR¢ Maintain proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions, such as stocking, cleaning, and rotating product
AEUR¢ Follow all store Shrink guidelines with regard to keeping track of all discards
AEUR¢ Ensure proper temperatures and working condition of cases (hot and cold) as well as maintaining all equipment
AEUR¢ Complete all necessary paperwork
AEUR¢ Follow direction from the Deli Manager, perform tasks as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
AEUR¢ Must be at least 18 years of age to enter/work on the deli side of the department
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
AEUR¢ Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
AEUR¢ Possess basic computer skills
AEUR¢ Possess strong communication skills
