Support Worker
Location: Elgin, Forres
Salary: From A£14 per hour
The Role
The organisation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high quality care and support to individuals in need, including seniors and those with specific health conditions. This position requires strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for their clients through personalised care and assistance.
You will be provided with a travel allowance with a maximum of A£200 (for a full-time position). A£0.45 per mileage first 10,000 miles/A£0.35 per mileage after 10,000 miles. You will need your own vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide patient care and support to individuals in their homes.
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation and medication management.
* Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interaction and wellbeing.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
* Monitor client's health and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
* Support clients with dementia care, ensuring their safety and comfort.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during visits.
Skills and Qualifications
* Skills in patient care, meal preparations and behaviour management are highly desirable.
* A background in support work or relevant healthcare qualifications would be advantageous.
* A valid driving license and car
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
